Item 1: Particulars of Organization, Functions and Duties (Holalkere Sub-Division)

The Panchayat Raj Engineering Sub-Division, Holalkere office holds jurisdiction over a total of 29 Gram Panchayats.

This sub-division oversees technical supervision, execution, control, coordination, and inspection of projects implemented by Zilla Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat, and Gram Panchayats. These include construction and maintenance of rural roads, buildings, rural road development, and convergence works under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA).

Key Departmental Functions:

The Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) heads the sub-division. Junior Engineers operate in the Technical Branch, while First Division Accounts Assistants (FDAA) work in the Administrative Branch. The administrative scope extends across the entire taluk, with the AEE holding overall accountability for target achievement and project execution. The AEE inspects works and provides necessary guidance and directions to Junior Engineers.

Programs for Achieving Departmental Objectives:

The AEE inspects sub-divisional works, resolves field issues, and conducts monthly progress review meetings with Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers to report progress in a timely manner. Emergency meetings are convened whenever required to take necessary administrative and technical actions.
